This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.
Automotive Legal Assistant
Job Responsibilities
Your specific duties as a Automotive Legal Assistant will include: The main function of a paralegal is to assist lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts, or preparing legal documents. A typical paralegal is responsible for conducting research to support a legal proceeding, formulate a defense or to initiate legal action. Prepare correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney or a paralegal. Review legal journals and assist with legal research. May assist new lawyers how to prepare documents for submission to the courts. Assist attorneys in collecting information such as employment, medical, and other records. Attend legal meetings, such as client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and take notes. Organize and maintain law libraries, documents, and case files. Prepare and process legal documents and papers, such as summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements.

Job Requirements
As a Automotive Legal Assistant you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time. Basic knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required. 0-2 years experience required. Location : Detroit MI and 30 miles
