Job Description
As a Prep Technician, you will be responsible for physically taking cars apart using basic tools to prepare them for the technicians. The prep department is the first stop a vehicle makes when getting up-fitted. Your responsibilities include preparing sub-assemblies and vehicles by disassembly according to the Vehicle Build Sheet and instructions from the Lead Prep Tech. This includes tasks such as installing window bars, TLO boxes, push-bumpers, prisoner door panels, and assembling various products.

This role offers lots of opportunities for growth, with three additional levels to advance through, and the potential to learn electronics and diagnostics of cars. Employees are hired with the intention of being brought on as direct employees. There is a formal 30-day review process with management to ensure continuous development.
Work Environment
You will be working in a small, tight-knit team of 15 employees. The company specializes in the custom outfitting of patrol, undercover, battalion command, fire, utility, and construction vehicles. The workday starts at 5 AM or 6 AM, and you must be willing to work overtime, especially during the busy season from November to June, when you can expect to work 50+ hours and some Saturdays.
