Automotive Regional Sales Manager - OEM level - Northern suburbs
Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
Facilitate Dealer Sales processes, review and implementation of Dealer Strategies Establish individual and divisional sales objectives Set dealer targets Improve and monitor Dealer profitability and financial performance Implement and manage Dealer standards to achieve sales objectives Develop and maintain sales operating standards and procedures for dealers Monitor Dealer evaluations on RSM’s performance Develop field sales action plans to facilitate the implementation of regional sales programs Facilitate vehicle distribution, vehicle sales and stock planning Manage customer satisfaction, wholesale, market share and business management objectives Maintain good standing relationships with Dealer networks Provide the necessary support to Dealer networks to enable them to generate market leads and close new deals Attend regular management meetings Conduct frequent Dealer inspections, including cross boarder Dealers Monitor and analyze short, medium and long term sales objectives Implement appropriate plans for sales and target achievement Provide dealers with professional support to gain a thorough understanding of their individual markets Provide professional support in the development of business/marketing plans and strategies to achieve sales and objectives Compile sales reports for the specific regions Ensure proper corporate image is portrayed and communicated to all relevant parties Assist dealerships with suggestions on how to improve brand image Flexibility- adapt to change and respond to a changing and evolving environment Strong analysis and problem solving Ability to give clear and consistent instructions Excellent people management skills Self-starter Excellent follow-through Excellent ability to operate under pressure Accurate attention to detail Leadership- forward thinking and be proactive with judgement, direction setting and achieving targets Capacity to use judgment and evaluate situations in order to make decisions following through to appropriate action and results Drive regional sales to achieve market share, basket share and budget objectives Requirements:
Business Development Diploma At least 2 years’ experience in the automotive industry as a Regional Sales Manager, at Dealership or OEM level At least 2 years’ experience in Sales Management Exposure to Dealer networks Proven knowledge of effective sales and best practices Knowledge of inventory control and people management Understanding of auto industry and various segments Cross boarder travel will be required
