* Salary will vary depending on credit load. **Job Description**
Dakota County Technical College seeks an Automotive Services Technology Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives. Responsibilities include:
+ Teach Mopar Career Automotive Program (CAP) content regarding Basic Electrical, Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Transmissions, AWD/4WD, and Differentials.

There may be a potential for additional assignments for Spring 2026 semester, starting January 13, 2026.
**Minimum Qualifications**
Education Requirement
+ Post-secondary diploma or equivalent certificate in automotive services technology.
Occupational Experience Requirement
+ Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in automotive service technology.
Recency Requirement
+ One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
+ Current ASE certification in the areas in which the faculty member is teaching.
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Stellantis/Mopar Level 2 or higher certification
+ Higher education teaching experience with a diverse student population
+ Experience with learning communities or team teaching
+ Experience in curriculum development
+ Experience incorporating technology into curriculum delivery, including on-line instruction
+ Experience developing and using student-centered, active and experiential learning strategies
+ Experience integrating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instruction
+ Experience assessing student academic achievement of campus-wide and classroom learning outcomes
**Other Requirements**
In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
