Rallye Mercedes, Long Island’s premier Mercedes-Benz dealership, has immediate opportunities for Express Technicians, Tire Technicians & Quality Control Technicians! Express Technician Responsibilities: + Work closely with the Diagnostic Technician; report to the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and Dispatcher. + Mount, rotate, balance and change tires. + Examine the vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor. + Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain parts. Follow warranty material disposition procedures. + Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised. + Clearly and accurately document all work performed. + Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate. + Only perform work that is authorized by the customer or by the warranty. + Inform Service Advisor and Foreman of all work that cannot be finished by the end of the shift. Tire technician responsibilities: + Wheel alignments. + Tire changes, rotations, and mounting. Quality Control responsibilities: + Inspect all work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Mercedes Benz factory and Rallye Mercedes standards. + Examine and test-drive all vehicles to ensure that the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/ perform repairs are completed. Communicate all discrepancies to the Service Manager, Advisor, or technician. + Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate.
