Summary You will serve as a AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS BUSINESS LINE of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will perform agency visits and conduct technical assessments on assigned vehicular fleet. You will monitor and evaluate vehicle and equipment use by activities to ensure Navy owned and General Services Administration (GSA) vehicles are managed in accordance with prescribed guidance. You will provide technical assistance on available transportation services, budgeting for equipment rental, and the proper type of equipment available as standard/nonstandard navy procurement. You will determine if customer requirements are met and make recommendations on available transportation services. You will maintain inventory of all vehicles and equipment for Civil Engineering Support Equipment. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring vehicles and equipment used by activities to ensure vehicles are managed in accordance with prescribed guidance; 2) Providing technical assistance on available transportation services, budgeting for equipment rental, and the proper type of equipment available as standard/nonstandard navy procurement; and 3) Maintaining a record of all vehicles and equipment and coordinating all vehicle assignments.
