Autosys Application Analyst

3Ci is looking for an Autosys Application Analyst for our Utilities Client.   This position is responsible for installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting the Autosys application. This position will build out a dedicated environment using company standards, meeting Asset Tiering requirements for high availability and resiliency. This position is also responsible for creating, managing and troubleshooting jobs, schedules while working with edge application owners to ensure requirements around schedules and configuration are met.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Autosys application. Build out a dedicated Autosys environment meeting company standards and high availability requirements. Monitor daily production batches predominantly running on Autosys scheduler. Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, application development, integrations, testing, and release teams. Perform infrastructure upgrades, apply routine security updates, and maintain supportability. Support migration activities between test, QA, and production environments. Optimize system performance and resource utilization through ongoing tuning. Set up and respond to alerts, perform regular log analysis, and maintain system health. Provide support for customer tickets, assist project teams, and perform troubleshooting. Develop documentation for installation, troubleshooting, and other relevant procedures.

Qualifications:

Formal education in Computer Science or related field OR 5+ years of experience in distributed computer systems environment. Experience building/supporting highly available Autosys environments. In-depth knowledge of job scheduling tools and batch operations. Experience with job scheduling and batch processes for Oracle Applications. Proficiency in writing scripts related to job scheduling or batch processes. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux or Windows system administration. Knowledge of IBM Mainframe operating environment. Working knowledge of SQL databases such as SQL Server or Oracle. Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, Shell, or Java is a plus. Ability to work in EST time zone work hours. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver on commitments. Proactive attitude, willingness to embrace change, and ability to take ownership and initiative. Skill Use:

Autosys Environment Administration (Install, configure, migrate, tune, patch, administration & monitoring) Ensure the effective daily operation of the production environment and provide administrative support for new implementations, upgrades, and migrations. Effective collaboration with other teams such as infrastructure, application development, integrations, testing and release. Identify and quickly escalate potential issues with solution design, packaged software, client resources, or anything else that impacts the ability to deliver according to expectations. Upgrades and Patching: Perform infrastructure upgrades. Apply routine security and functional updates to resolve issues, maintain supportability and ensure security. Migrations: Support developers in development-oriented activities. Migrate configuration between test, QA, and production environments. Performance Tuning: Perform ongoing performance tuning and system resource optimization. Monitoring and Maintenance: Setup and respond to standardized alerts, perform regular log analysis, monitor, and maintain systems to identify any issues. Maintain overall system health to maximize system uptime and ensure delivery of service level objectives. Support: Work on customer support tickets and requests. Provide OnCall support, assist project, development, security, and operations teams as required. Troubleshooting: Work with Development, DBA, Server, and Network Administrators to resolve application problems. Provide support for restoration of service and perform root cause analysis. Documentation: Develop documentation for assigned projects including installation guides, troubleshooting guides, run books etc.

Must have Skills:

Must be able to work EST time zone work hours Experience performing product software installation, configuration, lifecycle management, patching, and licensing management for AutoSys Responsible for monitoring daily production batches that predominantly run on AutoSys scheduler. Experience in AutoSys Job Scheduling and Monitoring using GUI and CLI. Expertise in creation/modification of jobs using GUI/JIL files and can maintain calendars, resources, variables and any other components that are supported by CA AutoSys. Strong troubleshooting skills in identifying and resolving issues and ability to work with job process owners to make any adjustments to prevent issue from re-occurring. Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows system administration tasks and security policies. Working knowledge of IBM Mainframe operating environment. Working knowledge of Oracle Systems/integrations that utilize job scheduling/batch processes is desired. Working knowledge of SQL databases such as SQL Server or Oracle. Experience in writing scripts using Python, PowerShell, Shell, Java a plus. Ability to work from a multiple ticket queue and adhere to problem and change management requirements. Possess attention to detail. Professional oral and written communication skills. Excellent listening and comprehension skills. Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details.

Return to Office Plan/Work Schedule: Currently only coming in for workshops; Hybrid - In Office / Remote option available.
