AV (Audio Visual) Installation Specialist

CoSolutions is currently hiring AV Installation Specialists in Omaha, NE at the US Strategic Command Center. The mission of USSTRATCOM is to deter strategic attack through a safe, secure, effective, and credible, global combat capability and, when directed, is ready to prevail in conflict. The command enables Joint Force operations and is the combatant command responsible for Strategic Deterrence, Nuclear Operations, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Operations, Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Global Strike, Analysis and Targeting, and Missile Threat Assessment.
This position supports the installation of AV systems under the direction of the Senior AV Engineers and Programmers. Specifically providing installation support across the A/V spectrum: monitoring VTCs, meetings, briefings, ceremonies, conference rooms, presentations support, scheduling, Commercial Access Television (CATV), collaborative tools, visualization tools, AV projects, remote facilitation, HUB operations, digital signage, video feeds, video and audio distribution and AV troubleshooting. Support for all conference room’s video display and audio systems installation and implementation, including: simultaneously displaying presentations/information, when appropriate; support and administer all digital signage in the facility; support installation of all AV distribution equipment, AV switching equipment, displays, and other associated equipment that provide a secure, robust, and integrated information system between the end users and their required resources, to include lifecycle management of that equipment.
NOTE: This is a 100% on-site position with no ability for remote/virtual work due to the sensitive nature of the work and collaboration of the program team.
Responsibilities:
+ Perform on-site audiovisual equipment installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, plasma/LCD, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems, and some programming based on experience.
+ Perform cable pull-paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables.
+ Assist with installations and programming of classroom/boardroom AV automation/control systems.
+ Install video conferencing systems and audio-video racks.
+ Read and interpret AV System drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
+ Install low voltage wiring and cable, solder and terminate connectors.
+ Assemble/disassemble appropriate supports/mounts.
+ Patch walls where applicable.
Experience:
+ Any industry certifications, such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, BICSI.
+ Experience in structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
+ Experience in Structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors.
+ Ability to read and write schematics and architectural drawings.
+ Understanding of AV and network test equipment.
+ Basic knowledge of network topology.
+ Capable of logically and systematically troubleshooting issues.
+ Ability to communicate effectively.
+ Maintain professional work appearance and outstanding customer interaction.
+ Must possess excellent communications skills both verbally and in writing.
+ Must be detail-oriented and possess great organizational skills.
+ Proven excellent customer service skills.
+ Must have strong work ethic.

Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Related Field of Study (Preferred but not required)
Clearance: TS/SCI
Certifications:
+ CTS (preferred)
+ Ability to pursue and obtain AV-related certifications.
Physical Requirements:
+ Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
+ Ability to walk to various locations as needed.
+ Ability to bend and navigate to perform assigned duties.
+ Ability to lift light to moderate equipment as needed for job.
+ Must be comfortable working on ladders and on lifts as required.
+ Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work within varied conditions some which may be small or confined.
