Job Title: AV Field Service Engineer
Job Summary:An AV (Audio Visual) Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of audio-visual equipment at various client locations. This role requires technical expertise in AV systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide high-quality customer service. The AV Field Service Engineer ensures that all AV systems are functioning optimally and meets the specific needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Configuration:Install and configure audio-visual equipment, including projectors, screens, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.Ensure proper wiring, cabling, and mounting of AV equipment(Crestron and Extron).Program and configure AV systems according to client specifications and industry standards.Maintenance and Troubleshooting:Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systems.Provide on-site and remote support to address client issues promptly.Client Support and Training:Offer technical support and training to clients on the use and maintenance of AV systems.Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of installations, service calls, and client interactions.Generate service reports and update client records in the company's database.Provide feedback and recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.Compliance and Safety:Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations during all field operations.Ensure all installations comply with local codes and regulations.Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.Qualifications:Education and Experience:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.At least 2-3 years of experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV systems.Technical Skills:Proficiency in AV system installation, configuration, and maintenance.Knowledge of AV control systems, signal flow, and networking.Familiarity with major AV brands and equipment (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX, Polycom, Cisco).Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.Certifications:Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS - Certified Technology Specialist) are preferred but not required.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.Comfortable working at heights and in various field conditions.
