Job Description A Higher Education client of Insight Global is seeking a skilled and experience Commercial AV Installer to support and lead the installation of audiovisual systems in classrooms across campus. As an AV Installation Specialist, you will lead and execute the installation of audiovisual systems, including projectors, displays, speakers, control panels, and other equipment. You will be responsible for removing old AV equipment and preparing classrooms for new installations. This role involves managing the movement, inventory, and storage of new equipment to and from installation sites, unboxing equipment, and preparing components for installation. You will populate equipment racks with AV components, secure them according to design specifications, and pull, route, and terminate CAT6 and other cabling as per project requirements. Additionally, you will terminate and connect AV equipment, ensuring functionality and compatibility with system designs, and perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure full operational capability. Compliance with BICSI cabling standards and other relevant industry guidelines is essential. You will also maintain accurate documentation of installations, including cable labeling, equipment placement, and system configurations. The ability to work independently and utilize personal tools to complete assigned tasks is crucial for this role. We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized individual with excellent problem solving skills. This position will be around a 6 month contract role, and can pay between $40-$50/hour with medical benefits and 401k options offered on contract. If interested, please apply!
