Job Description:We are seeking a skilled AV Technician to join our team and contribute to the success of cutting-edge audiovisual and lighting projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in either lighting or AV systems, along with a strong understanding of control systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV and lighting systems to ensure exceptional performance for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual (AV) systems and/or lighting systems for a variety of environments, including corporate, education, and live event settings.Program, troubleshoot, and optimize control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX, Extron, ETC, or similar platforms).Conduct system testing and ensure proper functionality and integration of AV and lighting components.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete installations within deadlines.Perform routine system maintenance and repairs to address equipment malfunctions.Provide training and support to clients or end-users on system operation and best practices.Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:Experience: 2+ years of experience in AV systems, lighting systems, or related fields.Control Systems Expertise: Familiarity with programming and troubleshooting control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, or ETC is highly preferred.Technical Skills:Proficient in installing and configuring AV/lighting components such as projectors, displays, audio systems, microphones, and lighting fixtures.Strong understanding of signal flow, wiring, and system integration.Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with live event setups, including audio mixing and lighting programming.Knowledge of networking and IP-based AV systems.Experience with video walls, LED displays, and immersive technologies.
