Your Opportunity 

Stantec’s Mining Practice is hiring an Intermediate AVEVA Systems Administrator to join their growing Digital Delivery team in Chandler, AZ (REMOTE POSSIBLE). The AVEVA Administrator will be responsible for Administration and technical support for the AVEVA Unified Engineering Suite of tools. As an AVEVA Administrator, you will manage and maintain the AVEVA design system for projects. Your role ensures the software functions optimally, supports Stantec’s design team, and maintains data integrity. Your expertise in AVEVA will be critical to project success, ensuring smooth and effective design activities.

Your  Responsibilities 
System Management: Maintain the AVEVA project, its project configuration and health of its databases, ensuring it meets project requirements.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to the Stantec design team, troubleshooting issues and coordinating where required with client system administrators.
Data Management: Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and system stability.
Training: Develop and deliver training for Stantec staff on AVEVA both OTJ and structured.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align design processes with project objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to enhance design workflows.
Configuration and maintenance of one or more tools in the AVEVA Unified Engineering Suite: AVEVA Diagrams (Visio), AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Electrical & Instrumentation, AVEVA E3D and Draw. 
Intermediate to advanced administration in more than one tool a plus. 
AVEVA Diagrams (Visio) – Symbol/Stencil creation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Configuration, environment settings, rules, naming conventions, templates and page setups, database maintenance, UDAs, report configurations, tool integrations, access control, technical support, training and work instructions. AVEVA Engineering – Database maintenance, access control, conceptual model, UDAs, tool integrations, bulk tag updates and creation, report configurations, technical support, training and work instructions.  AVEVA E&I - Database maintenance, access control, project setups, seed and template development and maintenance, symbols development and maintenance, UDAs, schedules, data sheets and drawings, tool integrations, report templates configurations, technical support, training and work instructions.
AVEVA E3D - Database maintenance, access and controls, project setup. Tool integrations, creation and configuration of equipment templates. Electrical, structural, piping and material handling, catalogs and specifications development, configuration and maintenance. Creation or configuration of display and naming rules, reports, drawings, draw styles, iso configuration, macros and PML code to improve efficiency. Technical user support, training and work instructions.   

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field such as Computer Aided Design and Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Design and Drafting, 3D Modeling, or Database Management. Alternatively, equivalent professional experience or AVEVA certifications are acceptable.

Professional Experience:

A solid track record with 5 to 10 years of experience in administering one or more AVEVA tools within an integrated environment.

Organizational Excellence:

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with exceptional organizational skills. Adept at prioritizing responsibilities and adhering to deadlines to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Communication Proficiency:

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The candidate must be capable of fostering clear, concise, and effective exchanges with team members and stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and transparent work environment.

Team Collaboration:

A true team player who excels in a cooperative setting. Must be willing to actively participate, communicate openly, and commit to the team’s collective objectives.
