The Position
You will be part of a central digitalization team in CMC Development & Scaling (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) which is the organisation that ties research and manufacturing together. The team delivers solutions across the business, in close collaboration with our own central specialists and data engineers, and the local specialists, PI engineers, scientists and technicians. We are currently working on several projects, some of which are: Collaborating on building a Novo Nordisk Enterprise PI system, onboarding several of our local CMC AVEVA PI systems to the Enterprise PI system, connecting various control systems directly to the Enterprise PI system, developing a global taxonomy anchored in PI Asset Framework and other data modelling software.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Exploring new AVEVA PI related technologies and tools that can assist the team and the line of business. Working cross-functionally with architects, security & quality teams, end users, and other stakeholders to develop solutions. Collaborating with the local business areas to develop AVEVA PI system designs, standards, best practices and guidelines to ensure alignment, adherence and adoption. Collaborating with the local business areas to on-board their PI systems to the Enterprise PI system. Collaborating with the local business areas in rolling out of new software (e.g. new data analytics software) and working on aligning PI data ingestion software initiatives (e.g. MQTT) and data consumption solutions (e.g. PI web API) across the different local areas. Building and maintaining a common CMC PI Asset Framework that is based upon a global taxonomy.Working as a PI Engineer in CMC Digitalisation comes with great flexibility for experimentation with new technologies and you can look forward to playing a key role in shaping the future in close collaboration with other developers across the organisation.
You will support line of business with consultancy work regarding, among others, data integration projects.
Qualifications
We expect that you have been working as an AVEVA PI System Administrator, PI Engineer or PI Consultant and have hands on experience building, supporting and maintaining PI systems.
Likewise, we believe you can tick most of the following boxes:
Between 2-3 years of experience, ideally, 4+ years as an AVEVA PI System Administrator in the pharmaceutical sector managing GMP as well as non GMP AVEVA PI systems with strong understanding of the PI System Architecture. Experience in implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting of PI Connectors and Interfaces including but not limited to OPC DA, OPC UA, PI to PI, RDBMS, UFL. Experience in developing and maintaining MQTT solutions. Experience building and optimizing PI Asset Framework hierarchies, templates, analyses, calculations, event frames and notifications. Experience with building and deploying ETL pipelines. Experience developing tools leveraging the PI AF SDK is highly desirable.As a person, it comes naturally to you to test new techniques, and you have an eye for detail. You have a burning desire to learn new things and curious about the processes and people you work with. You can work both independently and together with others. As a person you have excellent communication skills and strong English fluency.
