The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing. **Role Description:** Diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment. **Key Responsibilities:** + Solves and repairs problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications. + Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions. + Analyzes, diagnosis, and repairs GSE using conventional and digital multi meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools. + Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE, which includes routine maintenance on aviation ground support vehicles, POL equipment, and their sub-systems. + Inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. + Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air. + Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. + Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories. + Stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications. + Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards, and regulations. + Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment. + Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles. + In addition to maintaining vehicle records, maintains, and updates paper and electronic equipment records. + Provides dispatch services for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations, practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times. + Perform routine maintenance on the aviation ground support vehicles, POL equipment, and their sub-systems. + Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul all types of diesel and gasoline engines. + Effectively communicate and coordinate with related departments, trades prior to starting work on GSE or POL equipment when it is expected to be out of service for extended periods.• Perform material requests as required for GSE-POL maintenance. + Able to work unsupervised at remote sites. \#LI-MZ1 Qualifications: **Required** : + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Minimum 5 years of experience, of which four 4 years must be specialized in aviation ground support vehicle- equipment maintenance. + Must have completed an apprenticeship and or formal training as a GSE Mechanic. + Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust MRPT. + Ability to obtain and maintain a Flight Line Drivers License. + Ability to speak, read and comprehend Level II English. + OCONUS: + Ability to pass physical screening. + Passport with 18 months remaining. **Preferred:** + Mechanically inclined. + Previous OCONUS Experience. + Average computer skills. + Good trouble shooting skills. + Basic or Higher welding skills. + Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant certifications. + Hazmat certifications **Compensation and Benefits:** + Salaried Position. + Work schedule 48 hours. + Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. + Generous paid time off program. + 401(k) retirement plan with company match. + Professional development and career advancement opportunities.
