About This Role
Join CAE's Civil Aviation Regional Safety team in Dallas, where you'll play a pivotal role as an Aviation Safety Officer - Non-Ab-Initio. Our mission is to advance digital immersion through cutting-edge training and operational support solutions, fostering global safety.
As part of this team, you will lead the implementation of safety management processes, transforming our safety culture to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks. You'll oversee safety audits, driving CAE to achieve safety targets effectively.
Responsibilities include:
Implementing the Global Safety Management System to enhance safety by identifying hazards and minimizing risks.Utilizing feedback systems to address deficiencies and ensure prompt corrective actions.Managing and improving the Safety Management System to mitigate corporate and operational risks.Achieving Safety Performance Targets through strategic planning and safety training initiatives.Mentoring center personnel to enhance safety and drive continuous improvement.Conducting annual safety audits to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.Experience in coordinating Safety Management Systems within training organizations or airlines.Holder or previous holder of an ICAO recognized Flight Crew License to ATPL level and Type Rating Instructor Certificate.Familiarity with ICAO, Transport Canada, FAR, CASA, EASA, and other NAA regulations.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to analyze complex safety, technical, and operational events and provide actionable recommendations.Preferred experience in investigating aircraft or training incidents, including human factors.Join us at CAE, where your expertise will contribute to shaping a safer aviation industry through innovative safety practices and training solutions.
