Avionics Engineering Lead for Gateway IMS

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Avionics Engineering Lead for Gateway IMS** to join the team with ERC, a teammate company. The **Avionics Engineering Lead for Gateway IMS** will: + The Avionics Engineer Lead will be supporting the Gateway Avionic Sub-System, a critical sub-system of the Gateway Program which will return to the Moon + Work with subject matter experts to identify inconsistencies in the Gateway IMS architecture as it applies to avionic requirements + Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents + Develop and support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering + Coordinate and orchestrate product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification and validation activities + Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications including integrated analyses and decomposition + Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews + Work with team members and leads to identify risks, develop risk statements, and plan risk responses with mitigation strategies + Support engineering flight project schedule, procurement documentation, budget and system requirements documents + Work and present schedule and progress to customers and boards/panels + Perform other duties as required + Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment **Requisition Qualifications:** This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. + Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. + Knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools and technologies + Knowledge of test principles, tools, and processes needed to develop test requirements + Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the space hardware field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, and material selection + Ability to prepare written documents and to verbally present at various meetings + Able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines and schedules with limited supervision + Experience working in a team environment **Requisition Preferences:** + BS degree in **Electrical or Aerospace Engineering** from an accredited engineering school + Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork + Experience with NASA processes **Why Join Our Team?** In addition to exciting career opportunities, we also have: + Excellent personal and professional career growth + 9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off), when applicable + Onsite cafeteria (breakfast & lunch) + Much, much more!
