Avionics Installer

Description

1.\tPerform avionics line maintenance and avionics installations.

2.\tGood communication skills. Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.

3.\tMust be able to read, understand and accomplish maintenance manual procedures. Must be able to research, read wire prints, and order parts.

4.\tMust be able to accomplish tasks within allotted time.

5.\tEnsuring that the repair and installations of all articles and components within their jurisdiction is accomplished within the authority of the repair station and that the Quality Assurance Department, when applicable inspects the work.

6.\tThe proper handling of all parts while in repair process through the shop and when work is completed.

7.\tResponsible for reporting to the Avionics Manager if a project is not going to be completed on time.

8.\tCustomer interaction and communication as needed.

9.\tExpected to put in overtime required to complete job assignment.

10.\tTo insure that the maintenance of the shop premises are kept in a clean and orderly manner. All shop equipment is put back to proper location after use.

11.\tOther jobs and duties may be assigned at the discretion of the company.

1.\tA&P or Avionics certification a plus and/or related field work with 5 to 7 years’ experience.

2.\tPass FAA drug and alcohol program and random testing.

3.\tRead and understand English.

4.\tStudy Repair Station Manual and pass Repair Station Manual exam.

5.\tStudy Repair Station Quality Control Manual and pass Repair Station Quality Control Manual exam.

6.\tStudy Repair Station Training Manual and pass Repair Station Training Manual exam.

7.\tStudy FAA FAR’s and pass Haggan Aviation training FAR exam.

8.\tStudy FAA RVSM requirements and pass Haggan Aviation training RVSM exam.

9.\tShow proficiency with avionics test equipment and inspection tools.

10.\tLearjet, Gulfstream and Citation Experience a plus.

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00
