Avionics Mechanic

In this Avionic Mechanic job, candidates will: inspect, service, test, repair, remove and replace aircraft electrical instruments and electronic equipment, including: power system components, instrument systems, indicating and warning systems, aircraft automatic flight control systems, including auto-pilots, automatic flight stabilization, aircraft compasses and altitude reference systems, auxiliary power plants, airborne communication, navigation displays, etc. Job Description: Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals. Perform operational checks. Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems. Test engine and system operations, using testing equipment. Perform maintenance IAW FAA approved technical data. Requirements: FAA Airframe and Powerplant license preferred. A minimum of three years documented aircraft avionics systems experience or an associate degree in avionics from an approved technical school. Must have 3-5 year’s experience within commercial aviation. Prefer previous experience and qualifications associated with EWIS/SFAR88. Must be able to read and write at a level to enable him/her to comprehend and apply information. High School Diploma or equivalent.
