What does this role look like?
You will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program by joining the Avionics team working at a system-level view of the submarine weapon system, as well as supporting efforts to integrate missile subsystems into the flight vehicle design.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Serve as the technical lead and interface for Missile Electronics parts across the system.
• Lead the definition and management of electronics parts and commonality across the missile system.
• Support the system and subsystem requirement decomposition and allocation process with the Subsystem Technical and Requirements teams to ensure that commonality processes are met.
• Serve as the lead point of contact for technical commonality in electronics parts in the program.
• Develop comprehensive solutions to sophisticated problems that connect the detailed, technical needs to transformational concepts and create opportunities for innovation.
• Lead the definition, analysis, and recommendation of Trade Study options related to electronics parts in avionics systems.
• Perform data and document reviews and provide feedback for technical and program documentation.
• Support systems/hardware integration, test planning and execution and find opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• 14+ years of professional experience.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
• Expertise in Rad Hard Electronics Parts.
• Experience in management of an Electronics parts program including management of cost and schedule of the program.
• Extensive experience with the integration, design, test, or analysis of Electrical products or subsystems.
Desired Skills:
• Experience working on customer led working groups with multiple contractors
• Highly effective communication skills, including ability to explain complex concepts, lead reviews, and negotiate requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to team across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others.
• Familiar with Radiation effects and test of Electronics Parts
• Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
• Ability to absorb technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on constrained schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
• Proven Experience with Navy Customer
• Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations
• Budget Proposal development and budget tracking of multiple projects
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and tackle numerous roles as part of the daily
• Active DoD Secret security clearance

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
