Employee will be responsible performing avionics troubleshooting and new installations on both turboprop and jet aircraft in the general aviation / corporate aviation arena. The position will require the ability to make decisions related to the proper techniques and materials needed to perform the work. Employee must be proficient in all aircraft manufacturer’s support manuals with focus on wiring diagrams. Employee must be familiar with aircraft radio and navigation systems operations including control servos.
Straight Flight is a subsidiary of Sierra Nevada Corporation since 2007 and is equipped with 3 18,000 square foot hangars with back shops for fabrication of both metal and composite parts, avionics repair, and painting projects. Straight Flight became a Certified Repair Station with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1992 and was rated by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in 2007. Straight Flight currently holds a very impressive Operations Specification that includes 5 Class ratings.

Preferred:

Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Power plant certification with no prior FAA violationsExperience with computerized maintenance manualsPrevious install experience in a Part 145 repair station will be favorably considered.Previous avionics manufacturer training and/or experience with Garmin, Honeywell, King, or Aspen will be favorably considered
