Avionics Technician II - GSO-MRO
**General Job Overview** : Under minimal supervision, the **Avionics Technician II** assists in the removal and installation of avionics electrical components, fabricates wire harnesses, and performs installations, terminations, ring-out, and functional tests of avionics and electrical systems. The role assists in troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimal schedule impact. **The Avionics Technician II** demonstrates technical expertise by implementing process changes to reduce costs and meet schedules without compromising safety or quality. + Demonstrate the skills and knowledge required to effectively and efficiently repair or replace defective components and wiring, ensuring installations meet conformity standards. + Utilize effective repair techniques, including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring. + Read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams. + Adapt to sudden schedule changes. + Climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds. + Check all work to ensure a defect-free assembly before final inspection. + Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations. + Ensure that work accomplished meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications. + Performs installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals ensuring a defect-free system. + High School Diploma or GED required. + Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics, and two (2) years of related experience. + A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. + FCC license preferred. + NCATT certification preferred. + Ability to obtain a Repairman Certificate / Previously held Repairman Certificate. **Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status.** Signature Aviation is the world's largest Fixed Base Operators (FBO) network, with over 200 locations and 5,000 employees globally.
