Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, repair, modify, test, operate, and troubleshoot avionics/electrical modules, components, and wire harnessesMark wires, assemble lays-up, terminate (crimp and solder) to engineering schematic specificationsInstall wires and electrical components into electrical modules and assemblies per engineering drawings and specificationsCheck drawings for accuracy and applicability for assigned tasks and advises the lead and/or supervisor of deficienciesPerform electrical continuity checks, operational tests, and acceptance test procedures per engineering and manufacturer’s instructions on harnesses and wired componentsTroubleshoot, repair, and modify electrical components and assemblies per manufacturer’s instructions, engineering schematics, and accepted industry practicesRecord work progress, certifications, completion, and testing on various production documents per company standards and established proceduresMaintain shop and work area cleanlinessQualifications You Must Have:
High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experienceA higher-level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationAbility to understand and interpret basic applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings Advanced skills with avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniquesStrong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills.Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.Must be willing to travel CONUS off rotation to perform Training, Medical, and Certification renewals.Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationallySuccessfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessmentAbility to deploy for an approximate 90 day rotationActive Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.Qualifications We Prefer:
