AVP, Benefits Strategy

Reporting to the head of Global Benefits, the AVP, Benefits Strategy supports in the strategy, design, governance, and administration of benefits programs. As part of the Global Total Rewards team, the candidate will have a strong knowledge of US benefits and a working knowledge of benefits outside of the US. The candidate will support the Benefits Leader in formulating benefits strategies globally, regionally, and by country, as appropriate, connecting with Total Rewards colleagues within and outside of the US, analyzing reports, data, etc. to interpret data, and driving overall Total Rewards and HR objectives.

This role will operate on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote) in our Jersey City, NJ/Philadelphia, PA or Whitehouse Station, NJ locations.

Primary responsibilities

Work closely with the head of Global Benefits to manage strategy of the benefits portfolio Review and develop meaningful analysis of benefits claims, reports, renewals and other data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and make recommendations for improvement and renewal/RFP recommendations Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the head of Benefits Operations, broker and consultants, regional Total Rewards leaders and HR partners Maintain knowledge of and analyze government regulations, benefits program trends, and prevailing practices in the market and amongst similar employers, including leveraging the vendor networks Manage vendors, brokers and consultant relationships, including renewals, contracting, service level agreements, etc. Liaise with internal partners on financial activities and legal developments impacting benefit plans, including Legal, HR Service Delivery, Finance and HR Support the implementation of new programs and participate in other projects, such as communications, RFPs, implementations, annual and special enrollments Create and maintain operational metrics to enable effective oversight of the benefits porfolio Drive continuous improvement in benefits processes Bachelors level degree and 5-7 years of experience in benefitsStrong business acumen and critical thinking skillsExtensive knowledge of and experience with US benefits practices and principles, laws, and regulations, along with working knowledge of same outside of the USStrong problem solving, organizational, analytical and project management skillsAbility to build and maintain positive relationships across functional teams across the globeConsultative approach to working with global Total Rewards partnersAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization, including senior leadershipFlexibility and diplomacy to manage challenging and complex stakeholders, internally and externally, as part of a multi-cultural team.Demonstrated strong initiative and self-management

The pay range for the role is $102,000 to $150,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
