AVP, Data and Analytics Analyst
_Position is hybrid in MA_ **PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE** **:** The role supports the Retail and Consumer Banking Division’s reporting, Salesforce integration, Data Analytics, and administration to drive growth, collaboration, and customer engagement. Responsibilities include providing strategic direction in data management, overseeing reporting and analytics for actionable insights, and fostering business development through partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards to monitor business health, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for business leaders. Works closely with business partners across the division and external stakeholders, including Regional Managers, Commercial, Training, Marketing, Finance, and Business Banking. Responsible for providing analytical and informational support on branch sales, business performance, and operations. Gathers and analyzes data on Retail deposit products and makes recommendations to Executive Management on product offerings and pricing strategies **MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES** **:** **Data Management & Dashboard Development:** + Build and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards in support of the Retail Banking strategy, with opportunities to work across multiple business lines. + Collaborate closely with the VP of Data and Analytics to develop reporting solutions, focusing on branch distribution, profitability, and performance metrics. + Act as a strategic thought partner to various business functions, helping to build dashboards and reports that align with their specific business outcomes. + Develop and present intuitive, easy-to-use dashboards that display key performance indicators (KPIs) across the branch network, identifying areas for improvement. + Extract data from core systems (Optima, BIC, and other related platforms) to create actionable sales and performance reports for senior management and the branch network. + Conduct independent analysis of business trends, interpreting data to provide recommendations that influence decision-making and strategy development. **Strategic Analysis & Business Insight:** + Provide insights on branch performance, retail product performance, and service charge income, and present recommendations to Executive Management. + Attend strategy and budget meetings, assisting in data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the creation of data visualizations to monitor business health. + Analyze and report on branch sales and service activities to senior management, highlighting key trends and areas of focus. + Assess the business' KPIs and find opportunities for improving what we’re measuring, how we’re measuring, and creating insights to help accelerate the achievement of strategic goals. + Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on strategic business matters, supporting decision-making for retail and other business lines. **Leadership & Collaboration:** + Lead initiatives to enhance data reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights for retail banking leaders. + Mentor and guide the Retail Data and Analytics Analyst, overseeing daily activities, performance assessments, and professional development. + Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for growth, providing tools and reports to drive improved business outcomes. + Engage with key stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with broader business strategies. **Project Management & Operational Support:** + Support branch network growth by developing metrics and methodologies for assessing branch profitability and optimizing branch distribution strategies. + Lead growth initiatives and monitor project deliverables related to branch distribution and profitability. + Prepare and deliver presentations on data analysis and business performance to various audiences, including senior and executive management. **PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING** **:** This position plays a pivotal role in the Retail Banking Division’s success by providing senior management with critical data analysis and strategic recommendations. The incumbent is responsible for building and maintaining Power BI dashboards that support routine reporting, such as tracking branch performance against goals, as well as specialized projects like analyzing the outcomes of Retail product promotions. These insights directly influence decisions related to product offerings, pricing strategies, and overall business performance. In collaboration with the VP of Data and Analytics, this role supports data-driven strategies across the division, helping to shape the direction of branch distribution and profitability initiatives. The individual in this role exercises decision-making authority over the reporting infrastructure, data collection methods, and the mentorship of junior analysts. Their work ensures that business leaders have the insights needed to drive growth and optimize operational efficiency across retail and other business lines. **REQUIREMENTS** **:** **Education:** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field preferred. + 5+ years of hands-on experience conducting quantitative analyses on large data sets; experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.). + Previous use of Tableau, PowerBI or other visualization software for analytic presentations preferred. + Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems + Experience working with key stakeholders and communicating trend analysis to technical and non-technical audiences. + Retail Banking experience a plus, but not required.
