Target Range:

$85,500.00 - $130,000.00

Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

Internal Audit acts as the third line of defense, independently assessing and providing opinions on Axos Financial’s controls in place to mitigate risks within the first and second line. Auditors analyze various business units and report on the design and/or effectiveness of their internal controls using a risk-based methodology.

Responsibilities

Support the annual enterprise SOX risk and control assessment programWork with control owners to identify, design and conduct the management assessment of internal controls including supporting the updating and creation of control documentation (e.g., narrative, process flows)Assess processes, risks, and controls to identify control gaps and improvement opportunitiesProvide support and assistance to groups performing SOX functions throughout the CompanyEstablish and maintain good working relationship with business groups and help address internal control related SOX issuesSupport process improvement and control optimization projectsProvide advice and counsel to management on internal controlsExecute on special projects and other assignments as requestedLiaison with internal/external auditors, consultants, and regulators regarding all work performedSupport control owners in the preparation and execution of the annual SOX testing planPerform tests of design and support the testing of operating effectivenessAssist with the management of other audits (e.g., Operational Audits) as needed

Requirements

Bachelors Degreein accounting, management information systems, finance, or related field4+ years in accounting and/or auditing at a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company performing SOX related tasksCPA, CIA, or CISA

Preferred

Experience managing a SOX program
