AVP, Regional Manager

Chubb is currently seeking an experienced Accident & Health Regional Manager in the Southwest region.  The Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing the insurance operations within a designated region, managing sales activity, developing strategies to achieve business objectives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong leader with proven insurance experience and the ability to foster relationships with external partners and clients and internal stakeholders.

Major Responsibilities:

Regional leader for Southwest region Major and Commercial plan, including strategic growth objectives, pipeline and measurement of efficiency targets.  Routine reporting of regional performance. Profit and revenue growth for Accident & Health product lines.  Develop and execute strategies surrounding renewal retention/upsell, new business growth and distribution.  Routinely measure and monitor results amongst team. Analyze sales data and performance metrics to develop reports and recommend changes to improve results. Oversee, lead and mentor regional underwriting manager and underwriting team including day to day operations, service and underwriting activity. Facilitate and organize trainings to ensure adherence to UW standards including self-audit. Work closely with A&H National Sales Manager, A&H production UWs and Branch Managers, and Global Client Executives to achieve new business goals and high renewal retention levels.  Establish and manage a robust target account process – including documentation and reporting on outcomes. Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with distribution partners and clients. Responsible for monthly/quarterly forecasting and annual planning.    Work closely with various support functions (Home Office Underwriting, Claims, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Actuarial)  within the A&H organization  Lead weekly team production meetings and participate in branch and regional management meetings. 

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years insurance experience, and at least 2+ years of relevant training, coaching and mentoring experience   Knowledge of Business Travel Accident and Special Risk product knowledge desiredWorking knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industryProven and successful sales skillsStrong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively interact at all levels with both internal and external business partnerStrong business management skills with experience in P&L ownership  Experience with broker relations and customer managementAbility to work within a dynamic and challenging environment – handle multiple priorities - often under tight deadlines.Frequent travel within the region is expected.
