AVP, Risk Consulting Manager

Job Summary:

The Risk Consulting Area Manager is expected to foster a team which offers white glove services that protect our clients and contributes to the profitability of the business. This position is responsible for directing the day-to-day operation of the risk consulting teams covering the states of Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.  The candidate should be able to balance the need for productivity with adherence to time service and product quality measurements. The Area Manager will also serve as a technical resource for our underwriting team on a range of personal security, loss prevention and collections management issues. As a leader of this respective field Risk Consulting team, this manager will be entrusted with immediate authority, work autonomously, and be directly accountable for their team’s work product, all within the framework of a rapidly growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for day-to-day management of the Risk Consulting team’s assigned book of business in the states noted above. Establishes workflow logistics Responsible for addressing career and training needs on an individual and operational basis. Assesses staff members’ strengths and development areas and uses this information to support operations. Oversee the overall quality of the unit’s performance through regular reviews, audits, joint travel, and analysis. Ensures all members are adhering to authority guidelines and review team member’s work outside their authority. Measure the risk consulting team expertise through periodic audits. Responsible for managing risk consulting technical needs in the teams relating to adequately pricing risk and understanding technical complexities associated with course of construction, unprotected risks, condo’s, code compliance, CAT exposures. Responsible for collaboration and engagement with Underwriting, Sales and Claims within the region including large loss reviews. Establish exceptional service standards for managing high profile accounts and accounts associated with partner agents. Identify and leverage loss control service providers pertinent to the region Effectively assist in management of budgets in the region

Position Location:

The Area Risk Consulting Manager is expected to sit within the territory they manage.  Final decision regarding location will depend on the candidate and left to the discretion of the hiring manager.  There is an expectation that this leader will be physically present as needed across the territory at branch and marketing events, meeting in person with their direct reports, and any other in person meetings/events to support the overall operations and initiatives to achieve the goals of RCG, PRS, and local branches.

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree8-10 years of home inspection experience structural valuation, residential construction, residential appraising, property claims or equivalent experienceStrong competency in architecture, construction quality, residential appraisal Management experienceAgency Relations, Sales/MarketingAbility to develop/deliver strategic, tailored risk management and loss prevention solutionsBackground in Personal Lines InsuranceStrong competency in systems including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

The pay range for the role is $110,000 to $170,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.  Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website.  The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
