AVP, Sam's Club Acquisition Marketing
Job Description: **Role Summary/Purpose:** The AVP, Sam's Club Marketing is responsible for leading new cardmember acquisition programs that drive Sam's Club credit card portfolio growth. This leader will collaborate with the Sam's Club client team, Synchrony internal teams and our external partners to deploy new cardmembers growth initiatives in market. **_Our Way of Working_** **_We're proud to offer you choice and flexibility. Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events._** **Essential Responsibilities:** + Drives the strategy development and execution of acquisition campaigns and initiatives, including program design, channel strategies, production, launch & post-implementation reporting. + Leads strategy and execution of rewards programs and campaigns in partnership with Sam's Club loyalty teams and internal Synchrony COEs. + Collaborates with internal marketing and strategy teams to support ongoing efforts to refine and refresh value prop offering and loyalty integration. + Manages end-to-end aspects of campaigns, including development of campaign briefs, creative, print and production of in-Club signage, digital placements & other collateral. + Fosters strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders including Sam's Club, Mastercard, the internal Sam's Club portfolio team and Synchrony COEs, including Performance Marketing and the Networks Team. + Leads development and execution of campaigns in partnership with Mastercard to drive card engagement and usage. + Manages marketing budget tracking, invoice processing and monthly reconciliation for assigned marketing programs. + Manages relationships with internal and external teams including Credit, Legal, Sales and Client Development. + Shares responsibility for achieving key portfolio performance metrics including New Accounts, GMR & ROI. + Leverages campaign analytics to report out on campaign results, determine trends and drive strategy for future initiatives. + Participates as needed in cross-functional product IT builds to support marketing initiatives. + Engages in the development of annual marketing plans and PAR process. + Ensures compliance with all internal & external legal and regulatory requirements. + Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned. **Qualifications/Requirements:** + Bachelor's degree; or in lieu of a Degree, High School and 10+ years of business/marketing experience. + 5+ years in marketing that includes client relationship experience. **Desired Characteristics:** + Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills + 5+ years Marketing experience with client relationship experience + Experience developing/managing retail or credit marketing plans/campaigns + Strong project management experience + Supplier management experience + Ability to perform in a team environment + Ability to work with internal as well as external partners and keep a focus on the client goals + Strong integrated thinking skills and problem-solving skills + Ability to apply a customer focus to help shape solutions + Ability to handle multiple ongoing complex projects in a fast-paced environment + Ability to have high level discussions with senior members of SYF and partner teams and turn those ideas into action + Credit industry experience + Excellent analytical, communication & relationship skills + Solid business acumen and strong execution skills to work with cross-functional teams to build & implement marketing programs (i.e. Legal, IT, Credit, Operations, etc.) + Understanding of financial impacts of marketing programs; ability to develop and manage budgets and set campaign performance goals + Core understanding of compliance & regulatory issues related to marketing in credit environment **Grade/Level: 11** The salary range for this position is **90,000.00 - 155,000.00** USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. **Eligibility Requirements:** + You must be 18 years or older + You must have a high school diploma or equivalent + You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process + You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. + New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
