**Job Description:**
The AVP, TD Securities, US Office of the COO has responsibility for the operations and administration within the business, ensuring integration and alignment of Credit Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity and Funding Risk, Operational Risk, Finance, Trading Business Management, Compliance, AML, operational administrative, and technology and business systems issues for the US operations of TD Securities. This role is responsible for the project and process improvement implementations, administration, centralized operations, as well as the relationships with the functional support and control groups located in TDS and TDBG. This role also assists in managing regulator relationships and responses to regulator requests by acting as a single point of contact.
**Depth & Scope:**
+ Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
+ Accountable for US TD Securities operations and support and control functions including of market and operational risk, financial, operational, administrative, compliance, AML, and information technology and business systems issues for the US operations of TD Securities, helping to drive Regional and business initiatives and development which are aligned with approved business strategy and risk appetite. Operational accountability and first line risk management control for the business.
+ Responsible for ensuring business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g., financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals, and physical control of assets) and that appropriate escalation processes are followed
+ Maintains a positive relationship with the Regional regulatory contacts
**Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree or specialized training/equivalent work experience
+ 15+ years related experience
+ Key agent to drive collaboration across support and control functions
+ Strengthen operational and risk management control across US TDS businesses
+ Strengthen TDS culture as a TDS culture carrier
+ Facilitate clarity and effective decision making
+ Investment in future through growing team capability, provide career pathway opportunities
+ Undergraduate degree or post graduate degree
+ Superior knowledge and understanding of TD Securities and its businesses, markets, products and systems
+ Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing diverse teams and capabilities

+ Stakeholders feedback on key deliverable on Support and Controls
