AVP, Transformation Financial Performance and Analytics

Against that backdrop, we are seeking an accomplished and strategic Enterprise Transformation Financial Performance Leader to drive enterprise-wide innovation efforts, cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives over the next five years. This critical leadership role will define and execute a comprehensive transformation value strategy, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the enterprise strategic plan, P&L, and financial ambitions.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), enterprise transformations, and driving large-scale value creation initiatives in complex organizational environments of Fortune 500 companies.

This AVP will lead a team of six associates. It is intended that this position be located in one of Humana’s major employment hub cities (i.e., Louisville, Washington D.C., New York City, Chicago, Nashville, Tampa, etc.).

Key Responsibilities: 

Transformation Value Strategy & Execution

• Define and implement the transformation value strategy to achieve enterprise financial goals.

• Finalize and align financial value ambitions by year, ensuring integration into the broader strategic plans for the enterprise.

• Lead efforts to track transformation value creation and realization against the enterprise financial plan.

Collaboration & Partnership

• Partner with FP&A to align transformation initiatives with the P&L and enterprise strategic plan.

• Pressure test metrics and financial assumptions provided by strategic priorities teams to ensure rigor and feasibility.

• Support initiative teams in tracking KPIs and financial metrics, providing expertise and guidance as needed.

Risk Management & Mitigation

• Proactively identify, highlight, and address financial risks associated with the transformation initiatives.

• Develop mitigation strategies to ensure financial targets are achieved without compromising operational effectiveness.

Integration & Alignment

• Facilitate cross-functional and cross-strategic priority collaboration to identify synergies and optimize investments across the organization.

• Collaborate across teams to align transformation financial ambitions with enterprise-wide initiatives and investments.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Establish and maintain a robust system for tracking and reporting transformation value creation, ensuring transparency and accountability.

• Provide regular updates to MT, Board and executive sponsors on financial progress, risks, and opportunities.

Key Candidate Qualifications

In general terms, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in financial leadership and consulting roles, including FP&A, enterprise transformation, or large-scale cost reduction programs.  He/she will have a proven track record of delivering measurable financial outcomes to Fortune 500 companies in a complex, matrixed organizational environment.  Additionally, this leader will exhibit strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to pressure-test assumptions and drive fact-based decision-making.  Expertise in financial modeling, KPI development, and value tracking methodologies will be critical for success in the role.

In addition to the above, the following professional qualifications and personal attributes are also sought:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior executives and cross-functional teams.Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities.Results-driven leadership with a focus on accountability and execution.Exceptional ability to balance strategic vision with operational discipline.Highly skilled in fostering cross-functional collaboration and synergy identification.Adept at navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$189,400 - $260,500 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
