Description and Requirements The AVP Delegated Vendor Performance Management is responsible for all aspects of delegated vendor relationships including strategic approach and management, implementation, ongoing issue resolution and performance monitoring. The AVP partners and leads cross-functionally to assess, design, and develop business solutions to effectively direct monitoring and oversight of vendor performance. The incumbent leads and oversees a risk-based vendor management program, exercising effective vendor management governance and operation consistent with Healthfirst’s values, policies, and procedures as well as vendor compliance with relevant federal and state laws/regulations and contractual performance standards. This position leads a team who will serve as the subject matter experts for all Healthfirst delegated vendors. Reporting to and consistently interacting with Healthfirst senior leadership team, exercises a significant degree of high-touch relationship management, appreciation for highly regulated businesses and commitments, attentive focus on execution and result-orientation, and effective leadership accountability. Execute an effective vendor management governance and oversight frameworkProvide senior leadership-level oversight and guidance across all vendor management risk areas between vendors and business ownersDevelop and contributes to continuous improvement in vendor governance and performanceLead coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Finance, Compliance, Legal and IT / Security to conduct enterprise risk assessment & technical due diligence of vendor selection. Participates in assessing risk associated with services being subcontracted and vendors being consideredActively engage and partner with teams responsible for vendor contractingServe as thought leader in cross-functional work to establish appropriate Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) and benchmarks/ metrics for vendor relationships.Oversee vendors including monitoring adherence to applicable contractual, compliance and quality requirementsDevelop and utilize vendor dashboards and scorecards to track, measure and evaluate performanceProactively plan, problem solve and complete root cause analysis, and continuous monitoring of processes including Key Performance Indicators, internal dashboard reports and other business management tools to be able to monitor overall performanceDevelop, approve, and oversee mitigation and corrective action plans (including clear identification of root cause(s) to address risk and service issues as identified and assure remediationDirect performance of site visits and monitoring audits as required as well as plan and lead formal periodic vendor performance reviews with stakeholdersProvide an escalation point to resolve vendor performance issues and communicate unresolved issues or compliance risks to executive management for discussion and action planningSupport, in consultation with business owners and other key stakeholders, the development and maintenance of continuity plans to mitigate the risk of any significant interruptions to vendor servicesParticipates in RFP and other business development opportunities and supports due diligence and evaluation process for new potential vendors as needed.Lead and direct employees with responsibilities in vendor management, oversight, and performance (in direct and/or matrixed reporting relationships)Performs other duties as necessary or assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experienceExperience managing others in positions of increasing responsibilityPrevious experience in managing healthcare vendor performance and relationshipsExperience with Medicare/Medicaid and Commercial HealthcareExperience communicating to senior leadership and cross-functional groups within an organizationHistory of demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and optimize performance of othersExperience having developed and implemented an effective vendor management strategy with high impact

Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)Change leadership skills coupled with exceptional relationship building and influencing abilityAbility to problem solve and approach issues strategically

Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $164,700 - $252,025

All Other Locations (within approved locations): $164,700 - $252,025

As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
