AVP, Operations Sr Manager
Job Description
AECOM is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the role of AVP, Operations Director for the Mid-Atlantic Water sub-area of the East Region. This is a matrixed role, reporting to both the Mid-Atlantic Region Business Line Leader (RBLL) and the Director of Operations for the US East. This position participates as a member of the Mid-Atlantic Leadership and the East Water Operations Management teams.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead in a manner that exemplifies AECOM’s core values: Safeguard, Innovate, Collaborate, Deliver, Thrive, and Selflessness.Manage Revenue and Cash performance for the Mid-Atlantic Water portfolio of projects (i.e. net service revenue, gross/net margin, billings, and collections).Drive Profit and Loss performance metrics for Mid-Atlantic Water (i.e. EBITA, EBITA/NSR, DSO, SG&A, head count, and BtoB).Provide technical support to projects in the Water Business unit.Build strong relationships and interact regularly with clients, teaming partners, industry groups and stakeholders linked to the market sector.Continuously interact with clients assuring satisfaction with AECOM services and interacting with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner.Support a strong and diverse team of capture managers, client account managers, and technical practitioners.Support and participate in key industry events that align with the growth strategy.Support recruiting and retention of top talent and their career planning via AECOM’s goal setting and performance management system.Set and actively manage the team’s direct project utilization in a manner that aligns with the growth strategy and regional performance plans.Serve as Principal in Charge for clients as necessary.Provide risk management in support of delivery teams and through coordination with the office of Risk Management; to align on AECOM’s risk tolerances, procedures, and approval matrix.

Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental or related technical discipline10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.Proven experience in the successful management of business financials for engineering and consulting contracts.Proven experience in the successful management of clients, programs, portfolios of projects and project teamsExcellent communications, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications
