Citi Private Bank (CPB) is currently seeking a technical focused Finance Accounting Senior Analyst in our Buffalo, NY office. This is a hybrid role with the associate reporting into the Buffalo, NY office 3 days a week. The Finance Accounting Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. In this role, you will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. **Responsibilities:** + Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data. + Prepare and record financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes + Updating the general ledger, recording financial transactions, and preparing of consolidated financial statements. + Specialized accounting, such as equity compensation, securitization, payroll and investment accounting. + Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables. + Take responsibility for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools. + Review and examine key controls for accounting process within the process handled. + Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. + Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes. + Identify and appropriately highlight / escalate potential issues relating to account with stakeholders. **Qualifications:** + Strong technical knowledge + Experience with database management preferred + Strong analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills + 3 + years of experience in accounting or finance **Education:** + Bachelor’s/University degree **Why Citi?** Working at Citi is far more than just a job.
