AVP/Quality Control Coordinator
Job Purpose & Scope This position is responsible for oversight of business processes, exception tracking, regulatory compliance, process improvement measures, analysis, reporting, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Essential Job Functions Performs quality control reviews of the underwriting and funding functions forming independent conclusions of control effectiveness and compliance with applicable consumer protection regulatory requirements. Prepares management trend reporting, ensuring there are no gaps in the end to end process oversight. Develops and implements corrective action plans for resolution of issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid similar situations in the future. Escalates risk issues for further review. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of auditing standards and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to manage and interpret large amounts of data, and to compile detailed reports. Ability to multi-task and work well with exacting deadlines. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Ability to work under general direction. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business-related discipline, or commensurate work experience, required. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in the financial services industry required. Minimum of one (1) year work experience in a quality control role, preferably in financial services, required.
