Assistant Vice President - Third Party & Outsourcing Risk SME
In this role, you will be responsible for Third Party & Outsourcing Risk for MUFG’s banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act on behalf of both the Bank and the Securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you.
The main focus is to ensure that third parties and outsourced vendors are categorised and assessed as per MUFG policy and procedures when onboarded and thereafter at regular intervals, working with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are met (due diligence, risk assessments, performance reviews…), and producing MI and senior management reporting.
Specific Responsibilities:
Act as an ambassador for Third party & Outsourcing Risk across the organisationBuild and develop effective relationships with key internal stakeholdersHave a complete understanding of Third party & Outsourcing risk including intragroupChampion the Third Party & Outsourcing Risk Framework and best practices across the organisation whilst acting as a centre of excellence for Third Party & Outsourcing RiskCoordinate with stakeholders across the organisation to share best practice ensuring regulatory requirements are metKey Responsibilities:
Maintain robust procedural controls to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirementsAct in a consultative capacity providing advice and guidance to stakeholdersFocus on developing own knowledge and staying up to date with best practicesMaintain and continually improve the Third Party & Outsourcing Risk frameworkAct as a champion to ensure Third Party & Outsourcing Risk policies and procedures are correctly adopted and appliedBuild relationships and consult with stakeholders to ensure the business controls are adhered to and mitigate Third Party & Outsourcing Risk effectively to meet regulatory requirementsDevelop and maintain own understanding of best practices in Third Party & Outsourcing Risk and current regulatory requirementsCommunicate and disseminate Third Party & Outsourcing Risk knowledge to build a centre of expertiseResponsible for providing reporting to Audit, Compliance and Risk as and when required and responsible for reporting self-identified issues and KRIsResponsible for SOX reportingDevelop own knowledge and stay up to date with best practicesResponsible for supporting change, managing the communication of the strategy in a positive manner and enabling its implementationEnsure the completeness and accuracy of the information held in the Outsourcing Register, and liaise with Vendor Risk, Procurement and SRMs to ensure that missing information is remedied,Gathering MI, KPIs, and other relevant data for senior management reporting,Track the completion of third party performance and risk assessment reviews, as well as exit strategy and BCP reviews/updates , reporting on those past their due date, and escalating where necessary to ensure that they are conducted in a timely mannerFunctional / Technical Competencies:

Demonstrable experience in all areas of responsibility stated above, with a clear focus on vendor risk A strong understanding of the Third Party & Outsourcing regulatory frameworkGood understanding of the Procurement and Vendor Management processesGood network building and relationship forming skillsGood analytical and MI/reporting skillsAbility to work as part of a team as well as independently, including in direct relation with Senior ManagementProficient with core Microsoft desktop softwarePlease note MUFG operate a hybrid working policy with 3 days per week in the office
