Job Description:
The AVP will lead the TPRM (Third Party Risk Management) function and accountable for the independent Operational Risk Management oversight of TPRM, responsibilities include:
Risk Framework and Policy – Develop, maintain and communicate Third Party and TPRM risk policies and associated standards
Ongoing Monitoring – Maintain ongoing monitoring standards and scorecard methodology, challenge business monitoring results
Regulatory Change Management – Monitor and communicate new and amended third party related regulations
Risk Assessment – Maintain third party risk assessment; monitor overrides, exceptions, and issues; assess reasonability and accuracy of risk ratings; recommend for approval pre-classified low, critical, special category ratings
Policy Adherence/Monitoring – Provide independent assessment to verify businesses are following TPRM policy requirements
Risk Appetite – Recommend, monitor and report Risk Appetite related measures and metrics
Risk Measurement/Indicators – Develop, monitor and report third party risk indicators (includes reporting and monitoring at enterprise and business level, concentration risk, senior executive and Board reports)
Risk Oversight Forums – Participate in risk review or reporting forums and committees such as Third Party Control Assessment Forum, Third Party Risk Oversight Committee
Training – Oversee design, development and delivery of training related to risk assessment process
Communication with the Regulators on all TPRM matters; Manage TPRM Program to meet all regulatory expectations while maintaining positive working relationships with regulators
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in third party/vendor management in a large organization, including at least 5 years in a leadership position overseeing complex partnerships and driving strategic initiatives
Firm knowledge of Operational Risk Management Principles and Practices. Specifically deep understanding of risk management principles, particularly in the context of third-party relationships, including due diligence, compliance, and regulatory requirements across.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment and requirements
Build strong relationship with 1st line of defense business partners and provide challenge and push back as needed
Proven ability to manage effectively in a highly matrixed environment.
Skillful communicator and influencer to build relationships, advance decision making and effect change over time
Strong coach and developer of people with a demonstrated track record in talent management
Highly motivated individual with a track record successfully implementing large scale globally sourced programs with superior results.
Strong people management, leadership and coaching skills
Ability to build for the future by attracting and developing the best people
Thrives in a fast paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities
