Service Team Leader
Your role and responsibilitiesAs a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining ABB Drives. You will ensure that commissioning and service activities are completed efficiently and cost effectively, in accordance with specifications, standards, and safety requirements.The work model for the role is: #LI-onsiteYou will be mainly accountable for:• Perform commissioning and troubleshooting in drive applications in Marine industry • Perform service on call job on operating vessels. Installation supervision, startup, testing as well as acceptance testing of the systems, in assistance to the classification societies and the Customer • Assisting in continuous improvement of project design providing input on commissioning activities. Identifying and recommending solutions to meet business, customer and safety needs, and providing relevant information • Applying and improving processes and tools to ensure effective project / service delivery • Ensure quality in all the assigned tasks.• Prepares timesheets, service reports, expense reports and other documents immediately following the work assignment • Follow ABB policies and business ethics. Work in accordance with ABB procedures using applicable tools • Reports opportunities and problems to management.
Qualifications for the roleYou are highly skilled in shipbuilding and knowledge of ABB products is a plus. You have at least 2 years of experience in commissioning and / or service relevant products and systems Possess an enhanced knowledge of technical document (data sheet, electrical drawings, P&I diagram, etc…). You have good knowledge on marine/industrial and real-time processes with particular focus on power generation and distribution and marine processes. You are passionate about responsiveness and quick acting mindset. You possess great flexibility and you like working in team. You have an Out-of-the box thinking and exceptional problem-solving. Degree in in electrical engineering or related fields focused on power electronics You are at ease communicating in Italian and English. Readiness for extensive travelling globally with a short pre-notice.
