ABOUT THE ROLE: The Awake Overnight Supervisor is responsible for leading and training Awake Overnight Counselors during the overnight shift, ensuring they are properly trained and adhere to agency policies and site-specific responsibilities. The supervisor provides ongoing guidance to staff, conducting unannounced site visits to monitor performance and offering immediate feedback when necessary. They are also tasked with training new staff on routines and responsibilities while using agency resources such as computer-based training programs. In addition to training, the supervisor plays a key role in maintaining a high standard of care by ensuring staff documentation is accurate and addressing discrepancies as needed. The supervisor serves as a role model for DSPs, demonstrating person-centered care, advocating for the rights of individuals, and fostering a positive team environment. Leadership involves overseeing staff performance, providing constructive feedback, and supporting staff development to ensure quality care. The position requires the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and model professionalism while managing a variety of overnight responsibilities.
