Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Securitized Portfolio Management team is an industry leader in the management of the investment portfolios of Central Banks, Sovereign Wealth Funds, Financial Institutions, Insurance companies and Corporates. The team has portfolio managers and investors based in New York, London, and Japan.  Our goal is to provide customized securitized investment solutions, spanning the residential mortgage, asset backed, collateralized loan obligation, and commercial mortgage market, to meet each client’s individual investment objectives.  In addition, the portfolio management teams collaborate with clients on topics including asset allocation, risk budgeting, and portfolio optimization. Globally focused, our team manages assets for clients across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

 

Responsibilities

Maintain and expand existing client relationships through communication of relevant market / portfolio information and opportunities by leading periodic portfolio reviewsDrive new business initiatives, liaising with product development and sales, completion of request-for-proposal documentation in addition to providing broad support to Sales and Client Relationship Management teamsDevelop and maintain framework for portfolio construction to manage complex client portfolios, aligning with active investment views and consistent with client objectivesCoordinate and direct trading activity relating to cash or in-kind contributions or withdrawalsFacilitate implementation of portfolio trades in restrictive portfolios 

Qualifications

5+ years of work experience in fixed income asset management or related field. Specific securitized experience is a plusHighly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through Knowledge and appreciation for processes around operational nuances as well as portfolio management metricsPositive attitude and strong work ethic Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate well with othersStrong written and oral communication skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) Strong quantitative skills, undergraduate degree in Math, physics, hard sciences, computer science, engineering, preferred. Other backgrounds considered based on ability to demonstrate quantitative ability

 

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
