Job Description A large aviation client is looking for an AWS Cloud Architect to sit fully remote. This position will be joining the IT Systems and Network Operations team and will be assisting with their migration to AWS. This person must be extremely knowledgeable in similar migrations, as they are looking for a SME who can provide insight and guidance as the team goes through this process. This role will focus on coordinating and leading various projects, including creating migration documents and managing enterprise architecture pillars. They will write requirements, develop process flows, and escalate issues to their lead when necessary. They must fully understand infrastructure architecture as they will be collaborating with networking and cloud leads, managing security and project plans. Experience migrating SQL and Oracle to the cloud is a huge plus. The company has around 120 applications that need to be migrated, along with 1000 virtual machines, so this person should have experience working on projects of similar sizes. This must be someone with excellent soft skills who can communicate with c-suite level leaders. Skills and Requirements 9+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect focused specifically on AWS Expert knowledge of AWS cloud services, architecture patterns, and best practices Experience migrating from on prem to AWS Experience with cloud deployment, technical and security architecture, data architecture, virtualization, software design, software development, IP networking, Citrix, scrum, application lifecycle management, .NET, programming languages, technical solution architecture, SQL Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. Aviation experience Experience migrating SQL and moving Oracle to the cloud Azure experience Desktop as a Service experience Experience migrating voice services from one system to another null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
