Certified Welding Inspectors & Non-Destructive Testing Technicians
Location: New York City - Various Locations
Join a dynamic team working on high-profile Building, Transportation, Infrastructure Projects, and Steel Shop Fabrication Inspections. We are actively seeking Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians for immediate openings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct structural steel inspections for fabrication projects of varying sizes and complexities. Perform NDT using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT). Ensure compliance with industry standards, including Chapter 17 of the NYC building code and QA/QC requirements. Provide timely, detailed inspection reports. Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Architecture 3+ years’ experience inspecting structural steel fabrication of varied in Size and complexity. Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC building code. Familiarity with Structural Steel Fabrication Shop QA/QC requirements. OSHA 30-hour safety training (preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Currently holds a valid certification in SOME or ALL of the following: AWS Certified Welding Inspector ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Inspector ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT - Ultrasonic Testing ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT – Magnetic Particle Testing ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT – Liquid Penetrant Testing
Other Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes Demonstrated ability to deliver inspection reports promptly and accurately Possession of a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license Willingness to pursue additional certifications to enhance professional skills and expertise Aptitude for collaborative teamwork as well as the ability to work independently when necessary Familiarity with relevant construction industry codes and regulations

Hourly Rate: $45 - $60
