Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an AWS SecOps Engineer in Northern New Jersey. As an AWS SecOps Engineer, you will be expected to manage and enhance the security posture of our AWS environments. You will be tasked with implementing and managing security controls, conducting regular security assessments and managing incident responses.
Responsibilities:
• Implement and manage security controls, monitoring, and alerts on AWS infrastructure to ensure organizational policies and standards are met
• Conduct regular security assessments such as vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testing on AWS environments
• Manage AWS-native security services like AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS Shield, AWS WAF, AWS KMS, and AWS CloudTrail
• Take the lead on investigations into security incidents, analyze logs, identify potential threats, and respond promptly to mitigate risks
• Develop and maintain incident response plans, coordinating with relevant teams during and after a security event
• Develop and maintain security automation scripts using AWS Lambda, CloudWatch, and other AWS services to streamline security processes and alerts
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with an emphasis on security best practices
• Continuously monitor AWS infrastructure, identify anomalous activity, and investigate potential security issues
• Analyze CloudTrail logs, VPC flow logs, and other relevant logs to detect unauthorized access, data exfiltration, or other security breaches
• Collaborate closely with development, operations, and architecture teams to integrate security practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Educate and train teams on best practices for secure cloud architecture and configuration
Requirements • Position: AWS SecOps Engineer
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a relevant field
• Proficiency in Amazon CloudWatch
• Extensive experience with Amazon EC2
• Skilled in Ansible
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira
• Knowledge of Auto Scaling techniques
• Experience in API Development
• Proficient in Automation processes and tools
• Expertise in AWS Technologies
• Experience with Backup Technologies
• Understanding of Cluster Analysis
• Proficiency in AWS IAM Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
