Description We are seeking a skilled AWS Workspace Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS Workspaces Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, VDI technologies, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation and optimal performance of our virtual desktop environments. Key Responsibilities: • Design and Implementation: • Architect and deploy AWS Workspaces solutions tailored to meet business requirements. • Configure and manage AWS Workspaces, including provisioning, scaling, and optimizing performance. • Integrate AWS Workspaces with existing IS infrastructure and applications. • Maintenance and Support: • Monitor and maintain the health and performance of AWS Workspaces environments. • Perform regular updates, patches, and security enhancements. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS Workspaces and associated services. • Security and Compliance: • Implement and enforce security best practices for AWS Workspaces. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. • Collaboration and Documentation: • Work closely with teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation. • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Technical Expertise: • Strong experience with AWS Workspaces and related AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.). • Proficiency in VDI technologies and concepts. • Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud infrastructure. • Problem-Solving Skills: • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. • Communication and Collaboration: • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment. • Certifications: • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or similar certifications are highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python). • Familiarity with other VDI solutions (e.g., Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon). • Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
