+ Scenario 1: You and your mentee have been communicating frequently and enjoying the naturalness of the relationship and the chemistry between you feels great. You have agreed to meet during the workday but as the day wears on, you've had to postpone the meeting and now have agreed to meet after hours at a local restaurant. Your conversation goes well, as always, and the atmosphere is relaxed. At some point in the conversation, you ask your mentee for feedback on how the relationship is going. The mentee responds they are quite happy and goes on to share they feel very comfortable with you and are beginning to develop "feelings" for you and would like to explore the possibility of pursuing a more intimate relationship.
+ Scenario 2: Your mentee seems very unwilling to open up to discuss their situation. They have indicated that they don't have any particular goals for their development. You know the mentee has been struggling with aspects of their job and they have received a written warning about this from their manager. However, you need the mentee to raise these issues first before you can talk about how the mentoring can help them.
