About the location:

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.

About the role

The Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor is looking for a Commis Cook to join our team. The Commis Cook is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Commis Cook prepares breakfast, lunch and/or dinner per guest orders from all outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
 

What you will do

•Prepare food items of consistent quality according to guest orders following recipe, as well as production, portion, and presentation standards Operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, including, food processor, mixer, oven

•Maintain a clean and efficient station

•Strong knowledge of health codes and full understanding of all knife cuts •Label and date all food containers and rotates as per policies

•Determines necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up

•Returns all food items not used to designated storage areas

•Manage and prioritize tasks by shift.

What you bring

Our ideal Commis Cook candidate have excellent teamwork skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi task are required. The Cook position is required to operate, maintain and properly clean all pastry shop equipment. Applicants also are required to have a trade apprenticeship or other form of register training in the culinary discipline. It is required minimum two years of culinary experience in a luxury restaurant or similar. Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and culinary operations is required. Position also requires continuous standing for up to 8 hrs. per shift and the ability to lift up to 30Kg. Applicants also are needed to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Fluency in reading, writing, and spoken English and Spanish is also required. Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish.
