Azure Cloud Architect
Overview Please note this a hybrid role based out of our Phoenix, AZ Support Office. The Azure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Azure cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for developing and deploying cloud applications, managing cloud resources, and ensuring compliance with best practices and standards. You will also collaborate with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the business needs and expectations. High level of proficiency in related IT-centric business processes such as change management, systems analysis and quality assurance are also required. Experience working within an agile framework is preferred but not required. Flexible work schedules are required due to on-call and maintenance related nighttime activities. This includes weekend activities when needed. These flexible schedules may include the necessity to work alternative hours outside of the traditional business workday. Overview of Responsibilities Essential Functions: Design, develop, and deploy cloud applications using Azure services and tools Manage and optimize cloud resources, such as virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, networks, etc. Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and encryption methods Monitor and troubleshoot cloud performance, availability, and reliability issues Document and update cloud architectures, processes, and procedures Research and evaluate new cloud technologies and trends Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Comply with change control, development life-cycle and release management policies and procedures. Respond to escalated issues, conducts advanced troubleshooting/research and reports on workarounds and resolutions per ITIL-management best practices. Drives standardization of operating system deployment methodologies. Acts as backup to other infrastructure engineers as needed. #LI-NA1 Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred At least 7 years of experience in cloud engineering, preferably with Azure Advanced knowledge of Azure services, such as App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure AD, etc. Advanced knowledge of Azure design around Subscriptions, Tenants, Billing Management Proficient in programming languages, such as Bicep, HCL, Python, PowerShell, etc. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code solutions (Terraform) Experience with cloud development tools, such as Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, etc. Experience with Azure Data Lake and Data Warehouses preferred Experience with cloud security concepts, such as identity and access management, encryption, firewalls, etc. Experience with cloud architecture patterns, such as microservices, serverless, etc. Experience with cloud testing and monitoring tools, such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, etc. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Azure certifications required (Associate and/or Expert) Knowledge of ITIL v3 required Working knowledge of AGILE project management Retail environment experience is preferred but not required.
