Location: Remote (Golden, CO Preferred)

Job Description: 

This is a cross functional position with significant responsibility and opportunity to shape the future direction of our team. Candidate will be required to focus on data development tasks to collect, store, validate and process large datasets in the Azure environment.  

This position will be part of a analytical team working on quantitative software products and services so experience working in a product development environment is desired.  Successful candidates will be very analytical with a high attention to detail in a quantitative environment to ensure a stable, repeatable, and accurate production data stream. Successful candidates will also enjoy an independent work environment where they can take a high level of ownership of their accomplishments.    
 

What you will be doing:

Monitoring and troubleshooting data-related issues within the Azure environment to maintain high availability and performance. Collaborating with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement appropriate data solutions. Automating data pipelines and workflows to streamline data ingestion, processing, and distribution tasks. Implementing data security measures, including encryption, access controls, and auditing, to protect sensitive information. Keeping abreast of the latest Azure features and technologies to enhance data engineering processes and capabilities. Documenting data procedures, systems, and architectures to maintain clarity and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. 
 

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

Bachelor's Degree in (IT, Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Business or related fields) (candidates can substitute one year of experience for each year of education)5+ years of professional database solution development using Azure data services and frameworks to store, transform, and enhance data for analysis      3+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure data processing pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services. 3+ years of experience managing and optimizing data storage using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse 3+ years of experience ensuring data quality and consistency through data cleaning, transformation, and integration processes. 5+ years of experience working within the full lifecycle SDLC as part of a software product and operations team environment

Superior organizational and end to end delivery skills in an Agile environment Proven ability within the database performance and query optimization arena.      Expertise in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and SQL Tuning Ability to work in a distributed team environment Experience working on quantitative software products Excellent listening and interpersonal communication skills Highly self-motivated and self-directed to solve complex technical problems Ability to exercise independent judgment Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders to ensure buy-in and adoption of technology solutions Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasksHas deep understanding of data architecture & data modeling best practices, and guidelines for different data and analytic platforms including scrum and agile procedures.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$84,533.00 - $143,706.00
