The Azure IT Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting a broad range of technical issues, including Windows Server applications, Engineering applications and application connectivity issues. Working under limited supervision, the IT Engineer designs develop, troubleshoots, and debug moderately complex systems.The Azure IT engineer monitors all events that occur in the enterprise IT environment to allow normal operations and to detect and escalate exception conditions.
Job Expectations:
Collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm, design, develop, and implement innovative solutions.Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows and Application systems.Planning and executing system and Application upgrades.Deploy and support/administer On-Premise Windows virtual and physical server products and services, including on premise and VMWare solutions.Run diagnostic programs for troubleshooting and monitoring purposes.Work across cross-functional teams (e.g., Database, Application Engineering, Business Teams) to address high-impact incidents urgently and accurately.Independently research, ask clarifying questions, gather data, and resolve issues using a data-driven approach.Prioritize and resolve tickets in the IT Service desk, ensuring timely updates and resolutions for local and remote users.Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT support, systems administration, or a related field
Multi-Platform Expertise: Proven experience in a multi-platform environment with solid knowledge of Windows, Linux.
Remote Support Proficiency: Skilled in using remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems to resolve user issues efficiently
Problem Solving & Multi-tasking: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
Communication & Teamwork: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused attitude and collaborative approach
Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IP, DNS, and DHCP
Bonus:
Cloud Services: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP
Engineering application experience such as Azure Devops Server, Github.
Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks.
Network Security: Familiarity with firewall configurations.
ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL principles or experience working in ITIL-aligned environments.
