TEKsystems has a client that is seeking to hire a Azure Network Engineer. At this time, there are some key upcoming projects involving deployments and build outs in Azure, as well as multiple branch refreshes and build outs (configure Aruba equipment) and would like to see candidates who can hit the ground running in supporting these efforts. Position Overview: This highly visible position will be responsible for implementing and supporting the long-term vision for this client's technological direction and evolving their overall Network. The Network Engineers are to execute on both project based and operational level engineering tickets a long-term strategy for the enterprise to ensure the systems and the team are operating at maximum efficiency. The Network Engineer must develop a thorough understanding of the application, supporting infrastructure and business requirements, as well as communicate the long-term Enterprise Architecture vision. Additionally, the Network Engineers must keep up with the current state of IT compute and storage solutions and share that knowledge with peers and application teams. Requirements: • Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment as an Azure Network Engineer role with deployment, and Level-3 troubleshooting experience in the following technologies: o Automation experience with PowerShell, python or similar tools o Cisco Nexus and/or Aruba Switching & Routing technologies o Palo Alto Firewall & VPN solutions o F5 and/or A10 Load Balancing solutions • Solid working knowledge of network communication and routing protocols • Ability to prepare and maintain project plans and related technical documentation is required • Able to rapidly absorb and implement new technologies, platforms and procedures • Possess a solid understanding of information security concepts and practices • Experience with high volume web sites and large-scale information solutions • Participate in on on-call rotation as either primary or secondary engineer Qualifications: • Candidate must have a 4-year degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 10 years prior experience in information systems. • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the architecture/DBA/system engineer teams, application teams and clients is required. • Organization and time management skills are critical. • Certifications are not required but are an added plus.
