Public Cloud is starting to emerge as a differentiator for Hitachi Vantara as part of Hybrid Cloud Products like Hitachi Enterprise Cloud, Smart Data Center and Industrial IoT solutions. With Unified Offering Management in Global Services and DataOps in Corporate IT, Public Cloud services have now become a strategic partnership.
Given the nature of Vantara's business, it will always have a hybrid and multi-cloud strategy. Adoption started with Amazon, but quickly catching up on Azure. As usage increases, Corporate IT must set up proper governance and security controls to protect Vantara IP and customer data.
What You Will Be Doing
• Ensure the organization is set up on Azure with managed groups and blueprints.
• Enforce operational and security controls through policies on various workloads and teams.
• Establish proper governance and security controls to protect Hitachi Vantara’s cloud environment.
• Manage RBAC controls and Entra roles for user groups and resources.
• Diagnose issues with solutions deployed in Azure.
• Automate processes wherever possible.
• Build and implement secure VNETs for corporate connectivity, managed services, or product use.
• Provide input to design, implement, and support appropriate solutions and technical architectures.
• Assist in the leadership and mentoring of technical resources.
• Contribute to the development of patterns and practices, including proof-of-concept, prototype, and demonstration systems.
• Optimize workload costs and efficiently manage hybrid environments.
• Advise internal customers on pricing and resource efficiency.
• Create technical documentation.
• Provide vWAN and basic Azure network troubleshooting and analysis using Microsoft best practices.
What You Bring To The Team
• Real-life hands-on experience with Azure administration through GUI and CLI.
• Ability to monitor Azure health, performance, and cost.
• Proficiency in utilizing PowerShell, MS Graph, and KQL.
• Understanding of virtual networking in an enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of high availability (HA) concepts and solutions providing service redundancy.
• Experience working in an Azure multitenant environment.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-registered apps and permissions.
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, etc.
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps concepts, including CI/CD and application lifecycle management is a plus.
• Drive to learn new things.
• Ability to share knowledge.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Azure certification is a plus.
